JLA 212 - Police and Social Order |
Course Description:
A study of the role of policing in modern society. This
course examines the history of policing, the work of police
officers, and how police organizations operate. The topics
of discretion, police subculture, corruption and the use of
force will also be examined. The course will look at
policing as a career and at various local, state and federal
police agencies.
