Course Description: This course will examine cultural diversity in American society and schools. Participants will expand their knowledge of cultural, social, economic and other essential issues related to our complex, pluralistic society in relation to our educational system. Content will include lessons that promote tolerance, respect, and understanding of cultural groups through technology, research, problem solving and collaboration. Development of analytical and evaluative strategies that foster an inclusive classroom will also be explored.
